Attendance by home
The Today’s attendance tile across the top of the Dashboard shows the day at a glance. The headline says how many of the children expected today have arrived, for example 18 of 219 expected have arrived.
Four numbers split those children: Here now, Picked up, Not arrived, and Absent. Every expected child is in exactly one, so the four always add up to the total. The coloured dot beside each number matches its part of the bar.
The line at the bottom shows how many children are enrolled and how many are not expected today: no schedule today, the home is closed, care has not started, or the child is not placed in a home. Click the (i) for a reminder of what each word means.
In the morning, a child more than three hours past their start time turns the tile red, with a line saying how many are late. Click See who to list them. From 6 pm the headline shows how many children are still here, or that everyone has gone home.
A child still here from last night counts as Here now; one picked up this morning after every time they were scheduled counts as Picked up. A child only becomes late between 6 am and 8 pm, the same hours as safe arrival. An overnight slot is the exception: a child who hasn’t arrived three hours after it starts shows as late at any hour. A child with a temporary placement is counted at the home they are placed with.
Click any of the four numbers to open Attendance by home filtered to those children, or click Details to see everyone. Each home is a card listing who is here, who was picked up, who is absent (with the reason), and who has not arrived.
Filter by status. Chips above the cards narrow the list: All, Here, Picked up, Absent, and Not arrived. Each shows its count. Pick one to see only those children; homes with nobody in that status are hidden. Pick All to see everything again.
Not arrived lists only children scheduled today. A part-time child on a day off is not counted as missing.
