Closures and stat holidays

Where. Sidebar › Providers › Closures & stat holidays

Enter closures before invoices and pay generate for that period.

Day, Week and Month. Switch views with the buttons beside the date. Closures of one kind on one day show as one entry, for example Stat holiday · All homes or Vacation · 2 homes. Click it, or +N more, to list every home that day, then click a home to edit or delete its closure. Hover an entry for its details. Click a date to open that day. Filter by home to see one home’s closures by name.

Single-home closure: click New closure, or click an empty part of a day, then pick the date, home, reason, and the billable flag.

Several days at once. Put the first day in From and the last day in To (last day). Leave To blank for one day. Only weekdays are added unless you tick Include Saturdays and Sundays. The form shows how many closure days it will add, up to 366. Days the home already has closed stay as they are, and the form tells you how many there were.

Part days. When a home opens for only part of the day, choose Open part of the day: under 4 hours, or Open part of the day: 4 to 6 hours. Closed all day is the default. The calendar shows it as Part day · open under 4 h. Families are billed, and the provider is paid, for a short day; an overnight stay that night is billed and paid as usual. An invoice that already went out is corrected on the next one. Tick Billable only if the family should pay the full day. A stat holiday is always a full day off, so it has no part-day choice.

On a part day the provider records attendance as usual, and safe arrival does not expect anyone at a set time.

Deleting several days. Click any day of a closure that runs over several days. Delete all 20 days (Nov 2 – Nov 27) removes the whole run for that home. Weekends in between do not split a weekdays-only run. Delete this day removes just that day. A different closure inside the run, such as a stat holiday, stays.

Stat holiday: click Stat holiday, choose the holiday, and apply to all homes or selected homes. Stat holidays default to billable.

Billable means the provider is still paid and the parent still pays.

Non-billable means the day is not billed. If it was already invoiced, the next invoice credits it back automatically.

Adding, editing or deleting a closure recalculates provider pay in a calculated or in-review cycle that covers it. An approved or paid cycle never changes; add any difference as an Other line item on the next cycle.

A closure also tells safe arrival that nobody is expected at that home that day. Enter it before the day. If a case had already opened, it closes as Home closed.
