Log book

Where. Sidebar › Children › Log book, or the Log book shortcut

Your licensing log for the day. One record per day; the agency reviews them daily and lists homes that have not filed first.

Ten questions Visitors to the program; changes to the program plan; changes to staff schedules; unplanned children’s absences; changes to the daily menu; fire drill; accident or incident reports; symptoms of ill health needing a parent to be told; serious occurrences or critical incidents; specific care instructions from a parent. Each is Yes or No. Yes opens the follow-up: who visited, what changed, drill time and head count, how many reports and whether a copy went to the parent, and so on.

Absences Children you marked absent today are suggested. For each, record the contact attempt: Phone, Email, Text/App, or No attempt.

Submitting The counter shows N of 10 answered. Submit turns on once every question and follow-up is complete; an amber box lists what is missing. Save draft keeps a half-finished day.

Nothing to report Answer No to all ten and Submit. That is the record.

Changing it later A submitted day can be changed and submitted again. PDF saves the day as “daily-record-<date>.pdf”.

Sleep checks are not in the log book on purpose; they live on the Sleep tracking page.
