The child cards and quick log

Each child has a card. The ring around the photo shows their status: green is here, amber is not yet arrived, grey is picked up or at school, red is absent.

Buttons Before arrival: Check in and Absent. While here: Check out. After pickup: “Done for today” with a Check in again link for a child who comes back. Left for school: Back — check in. Absent: Undo.

The ⋮ menu Tap ⋮, the photo, or the name. It offers View profile, Message parent, Check in or Check out, Mark absent, and quick logs: Log Meal, Log Nap, Log Diaper, Log Potty, Log Activity, Log Mood, and Log Photo.

Quick log Pick the details for that one child, add a note or photos if you like, and press Log it. It is logged for now unless you tap Change date/time. A nap logged as Fell asleep also starts the child’s sleep checks; Woke up ends them.

Twelve at a time The card shows up to 12 children and a “+ N more — open the full Check-in page” link. With more than five children a search box appears. Children who are here sort to the top, then those scheduled today, then the rest, with absent children last.

Allergies show in amber on the card. A child who leaves during the day, for school or an appointment, shows each stay as a separate time span.
